Fine Arts Inks

General Information

  • Fine Arts Inks from i-Lab Corporation are IRIS developed and approved; water soluble, use non-toxic dyes in three process colors and ID Cyan; and are packaged in disposable polyethylene bottles.
  • The FA inks are made from new enhanced ink formulations with substantially improved light stability over other IRIS approved ink products (up to 3 times as much protection as Industrial Design Inks from noticeable fading when used on IRIS Semi-Matte Paper and 5 times as much protection when used on Arches Watercolor Paper).
  • Comparable color hues to the IRIS Industrial Design Inks.
  • Improved balanced fade characteristics to maintain hues.
  • The FA inks are available in both 3000 Series and 4000 Series bottles for use in the IRIS 3024, 3047 and 4012 High Resolution Continuous Color Ink Jet Printers.

    • Color Characteristics

  • Slightly reduced color space compared to IRIS Industrial Design Inks in the brilliant red and orange regions.
  • The FA ink set has been gray balanced and can be used in Classic Color.
  • Those currently using Precision Color may wish to have new tables. For Watercolor paper users, the use of Classic Color is highly encouraged since each paper is unique.
