Realizing they needed additional Internet savvy resources, Xeroxs
Tektronix division hired Avantgarde to drive traffic to the FreeColorPrinters.com
website to increase delivery of its Phaser 840 and 850 color printer.
Avantgarde had six weeks to increase traffic by 300% while avoiding
conflict within the Xerox direct sales channels.
360 Degrees
Avantgarde took a 360 degree approach to driving traffic to the
FreeColorPrinters.com website. Through demographic research, we
targeted specific small to mid size professional business groups
ranging from direct marketing to public relations to real estate
firms. We created and implemented direct email, advertising, tradeshow
presence, and novel guerilla marketing tactics and campaigns to
surround each of these targets.

Success was measured by increased traffic to the FreeColorPrinters.com
website. Each outlet was carefully tracked to make necessary adjustments
and provide useful data for future programs. During the six-week
project, Avantgarde programs increased traffic to the FCP.com site
by 497% and by the end of the year FreeColorPrinters.com was the
single largest channel for the Phaser 850 printer.
